Charlie Stubblefield stood on the corner drinking a double espresso. The modern towers of Yaletown vaulted from the cement all around him, with a rare and magnificent blue sky as a backdrop. One building was only half constructed, its uppermost girders naked and rusting, it’s lower level windows boarded up. The developers no doubt, bankrupted in the Great Reckoning of 2010.
